Room 7
Newsletter
The rain keeps coming! Room 7 children are enjoying using their wet
day bags!
We visited the Hutt Library
last week and brought back books to put in our library corner. Our next visit will be on March 28th
and April 12th. Any parents
who can walk with us will be most welcome.
We have a hangi coming
up! Next Wednesday ( 22nd )
the whanau group will be working hard to make this possible. I urge you to support this event. Meals are $8.00 each, 3 meals are $20 and 5
meals cost $30. The day before the
hangi all the children will be helping prepare the vegetables. This will require your child to bring a named
vegetable peeler to school. I think some
practice using one at home would be a great idea! Some peelers are easier to use than others-
experiment!
Keep up the good work with
the spelling homework – the children are doing well!
Room 7 are presenting in
assembly on the Friday ( 24th March) after the hangi. If you have spare time, come and watch.
Wheels Day is this Friday as
part of Moving March! Your child can
bring a scooter, bike, skateboard or skates to school for this. Helmets are compulsory.
Friday is also St Patrick’s
Day, it is optional if your child wants to come in green.
It was good to meet you all
at interview time and to share information
about your child. It’s good to work as a
team – this helps your child with their learning. Thanks for your support!
Regards,
Heather
